The Ministry of digital development of the region told about a new trick of telephone scammers. First, a call is received allegedly from law enforcement agencies. Victims report a criminal case, suspicious account transactions, leakage of personal data.
Next comes the "lawyer." He offers protection of interests and tries to help the frightened victim, to gain trust, gives legitimacy to what is happening. It tries to convince a person to follow all instructions, including transferring funds to other accounts or providing sensitive data.
Vologjans are reminded that police officers and lawyers will never ask for codes from SMS, bank card data, transfer of funds. These requirements clearly indicate signs of fraud.
