The Governor of the Penza region Oleg Melnichenko in his Telegram channel told about the work of the children's cultural and educational center. It opened in the Penza Museum of Local Lore two months ago. This is one of three such centers created in the region this year as part of the national project “Family”.
During this time there were about a thousand children. In an interactive format, they learned how Penza’s geographical location predetermined its historical path. They also learned about the skills of archaeologists and the peculiarities of the culture of the peoples living on our land. Children are not just involved in the cognitive process. In the workshop, they can create new artifacts themselves.
For low-mobility groups of visitors, a ramp and a lift are equipped. For visually impaired guests, voluminous tactile exhibits have been created. For the hearing impaired - special tablet exhibitions. The characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorders are also taken into account. Employees of the museum passed advanced training courses in museum pedagogy and inclusive communication.
The annual program “Family Journey to Antiquity” was developed. It consists of 12 classes. You can come here together, with moms and dads, grandparents. You can find out more and make an appointment for the tour by calling 8 (8412) 45-83-35.
