Operatives detained the young man for helping telephone scammers

Volgograd operatives detained a courier suspected of fraud in Saratov. This is reported by the press service of the interior Ministry in the Volgograd region.

According to the head office, a 20-year-old resident of Tatarstan arrived in Saratov by order of curators to send 496 thousand rubles stolen from a 90-year-old pensioner through a virtual crypto wallet. The defendant, who was looking for criminal earnings, took these funds on September 17 in the Voroshilov district of Volgograd, where he came to the deceived elderly woman under the pretext of conducting a procedure for declaring finances.

Investigative authorities opened a criminal case against the messenger, who admitted his guilt. Now law enforcement officers establish the involvement of the young man in committing similar crimes on the territory of Volgograd, as well as find out the identity of his accomplices who were not specified in the case, who provided telephone deception of the victims and promised the executor a fixed percentage of the sums taken.
