Penza residents can choose villages in which mobile Internet will appear in 2027

In the Penza region continues voting for settlements, which in 2027 may appear high-quality mobile communication and the Internet. More than 1,500 residents of the region have already made their choice.

As reported in the regional Ministry of digital development and communications, the vote takes place within the framework of the federal program “Elimination of digital inequality 2.0” of the national project “Data Economy”. It is aimed at providing communication and mobile Internet standard LTE small settlements, where 100 to 1000 people live.

Penza residents can support the chosen village or village until November 8 inclusive on the portal "State Services". To participate, you must be over 18 years old, have a permanent registration in the Penza region and a confirmed account.

There is also an opportunity to vote by mail, sending a letter to the Ministry of Digital Services of Russia at the address: 123112, Moscow, Presnenskaya embankment, house 10, building 2. In the application you need to specify the name, address of registration and the name of the settlement in need of connection. Collective letters are allowed, taking into account the voice of each participant.

According to the acting Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Penza region Maxim Izosimov, since 2022, thanks to the program, mobile communication has already appeared in 116 small settlements of the region. He urged residents to participate more actively in the vote to provide communication to remote areas.

In addition, according to the results of last year’s vote, by the end of 2026, it is planned to launch another 12 base stations in settlements with a registered population of no more than 300 people in the Penza region.
