He committed his first theft at the age of nine. The court sent the teenager to a special educational institution

The court decided to send the 16-year-old to a special educational institution. Details to the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” told in the Prosecutor’s office of the Oktyabrsky district.

The young man was brought up in an orphanage, since his mother and father were deprived of parental rights because of the antisocial lifestyle. The schoolboy never exemplary behavior - he committed the first theft at the age of nine, stealing $20 and 30 euros. The teenager then avoided criminal conviction, since he had not reached the age of criminal responsibility, but the officers of the juvenile inspection began to carry out individual preventive work with him.

In July 2021, the guy stole a drink from the store, for which he was detained by an employee of a retail outlet. For the same reason, he was not brought to administrative responsibility under Article 11.1 of the Administrative Code, but limited to an official warning.

Less than six months later, the guy was again caught stealing in the store – this time he hid chocolate paste in his jacket pocket, and a month later he stole money from the teacher’s purse. Again, he managed to avoid responsibility.

Since the student stubbornly did not want to lead a respectable lifestyle, by court decision he was sent to a special school of a closed type. However, he still did not draw proper conclusions.

Returning to the orphanage, he almost became a defendant in a criminal case for robbery committed in a store on the street. Nesterov, he was convicted of stealing a purse in a clinic, a backpack from the locker room, money from a vending machine, a game silomer and a donation box in one of the capital's department stores.

Each time at the meeting of the Commission on juvenile Affairs, the student was warned about the inadmissibility of such behavior and the possible direction to a special educational institution of a closed type, but he still did not embark on the path of correction. In 2026, the young man returned to the orphanage in a state of alcoholic intoxication and made a row there. He did not want to study, skipped school, romanticized the criminal world, inciting peers to illegal behavior.

“The Commission on juvenile Affairs of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district has prepared a statement to the court about sending the teenager to a special educational institution before reaching adulthood because of his unwillingness to lead a law-abiding lifestyle,” said Ilona Zinkovskaya, assistant prosecutor of the Oktyabrsky district. In the court session, the minor did not express his intentions to embark on the path of correction.

The court, having heard the parties, the conclusion of the district education department, having studied the written materials of the case, having heard the opinion of the prosecutor, satisfied the stated requirements. The decision of the court shall be immediately enforced.
