The first snow in the Rostov region: traffic police warns drivers about the danger of ice
In the Rostov region on November 7 came the first snow

In the Rostov region on November 7 came the first snow. Small but insidious precipitation has already begun to cover the M-4 Don highway on the stretch between Rostov and Novocherkassk. The State Traffic Inspectorate of the region calls on all traffic participants to be extremely attentive and observe increased precautions.
Snow and ice formed on the road surface significantly increase the braking distance of cars, making driving more risky.
In this regard, traffic police officers strongly recommend drivers to reduce the speed of movement, choosing a mode that is adequate to current weather conditions, increase the distance to the vehicle in front, avoid sharp maneuvers, such as emergency braking or sharp turns of the steering wheel, exercise special caution when approaching pedestrian crossings and intersections, reducing speed in advance, refrain from overtaking to minimize the risk of leaving the oncoming lane, as well as check the health of the car, paying special attention to the work of headlights, windshiel wipers and tires.
Pedestrians are also reminded of the need to comply with traffic rules: to cross the road only in designated places and be as visible as possible to drivers, especially in poor visibility, using reflective elements.
The State Traffic Inspectorate urges everyone to take this information with the utmost seriousness in order to avoid accidents in the early winter period.
