The court in Makhachkala sentenced a resident of St. Petersburg, accused of attempted illegal sale of drugs on a large scale and their sale, according to the joint press service of the courts of Dagestan.
It was established that in the summer of 2025, a woman in the group purchased a large batch of synthetic drugs in St. Petersburg and mailed it to Makhachkala. Later, she moved to the capital of Dagestan, rented a house where she equipped a room for growing drug-containing plants, and sold part of the plant drug to a local resident for 5 thousand rubles.
The police stopped the criminal activity in January 2026. During the search in the house seized prepackaged narcotics, dried plant matter, 6 bushes of drug-containing plants, scales and phones.
In court, the defendant admitted guilt partially, saying that she purchased substances for personal use, but the court considered this a way of protection, pointing to convenient for sale packaging and a large volume.
Taking into account mitigating circumstances - the presence of a child and an elderly mother - the Kirov district court of Makhachkala appointed 9 years 6 months of imprisonment in a general regime colony. Mobile phone and received from the sale of 5 thousand rubles confiscated.
