Moscow region chooses water bodies for renewal: the start of voting on Dobrodel
From November 10, residents of the Moscow region will be able to personally decide which of the ponds or lakes of the region will be put in order in 2027

From November 10, residents of the Moscow region will be able to personally decide which of the ponds or lakes of the region will be put in order in 2027. The corresponding voting within the framework of the program "100 ponds and lakes" is launched on the portal "Dobrodel".
The procedure is extremely simple: go to the voting page, mark your municipality, find a familiar pond in the list, click “Vote” and confirm the choice through Public Services – without authorization, the vote will not be taken into account.
What exactly will be done at the selected sites? Specialists will clean the water surface from floating vegetation, remove and remove household garbage, remove dangerous trees from the water area, and mow down excess air-water vegetation.
The program has been implemented since 2021, and during this time 324 reservoirs with a total area of 1,392 hectares have been put in order. In 2026, the work was completed on 39 ponds with a total area of 302 hectares.
A special place among the updated objects is occupied by Lake Round in the Dmitrov municipal district - the oldest reservoir of glacial origin. Its hydraulic system is unique in its own way: through the Meshcherikhu River, the lake is connected with the Long Lake, and the water, entering the Round, then leaves it, forming a natural watercourse. That is why maintaining sanitary order here is important for the entire local ecosystem. The lake remains a favorite resting place for residents and guests of the district, and fishermen appreciate it for its rich catch - about 20 species of fish live here, and large carp and perch have long become a local legend.
The cascade of ponds in the Lugova microdistrict in Lobna required the greatest delicacy: due to the small size of the object, the work had to be done manually.
Residents of the region are invited to join the vote and choose a body of water that needs updating. This is an opportunity to personally participate in the preservation of the cleanliness of the native land.
