In Tambov sentenced in the case of telephone fraud for a million

October district court of Tambov considered a criminal case of major fraud. As the investigation established, in August 2026, the attackers, acting together with the defendant, called the victim, introducing themselves as employees of the state body. The misled woman believed that she was saving her savings, and transferred 990 thousand rubles to the defendant. After receiving the money, the man fled.

The court qualified the actions of the defendant as fraud on a large scale and imposed a sentence of three years of suspended imprisonment with a probation period of three years.

According to the court, the damage caused to the victim was fully compensated. The sentence has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
