The government of Belarus, taking into account the proposals of the State Control Committee, proposed to increase the fee for modern rental housing, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
About the initiative journalists told Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Terekhov. Belta writes about it. From this year, it was decided to equip rental housing with the minimum necessary set of equipment and furniture. Their list includes a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, built-in wardrobe. This is reflected in the level of payment, which was also one of the topics of the meeting with the Head of State. In this matter, they expect to do without radical withdrawal and limit themselves to fine-tuning how rented housing is now provided and payment is calculated for it.
The formula is as follows: 0.2 base values (now it is 9 BYN per square meter) multiply by the area of the apartment. If you take a two-room sample of 60 square meters. m, you get the amount of 540 BYN per month. At such rates pay up to 30% of all employers. Additional coefficients may be applied to this amount. For example, 0.1 for similar housing in rural areas, which means that the total cost of rent will decrease to 54 BYN per month. Even in Minsk, the coefficient varies from 0.5 to 1.5 depending on the location. That is, the monthly fee for the same two-piece in the capital will be from 270 to 810 BYN.
The government proposed to calculate the base fee for new built rental housing with appliances and a minimum set of furniture not from 0.2 base value, but from 0.3. In this case, for an apartment of 60 squares, the amount before the application of a reducing or increasing coefficient per location will be 810 BYN.
Ah. Terekhov recalled that in the country for tenants of rental housing there is another system of reducing coefficients depending on the category of specialists who are attracted to work. Young specialists, civil servants, young workers of popular categories, which are determined by the executive committees, pay with an additional reducing coefficient of 0.1. For them, renting an apartment with a base cost of 540 BYN for 60 square meters in rural areas now costs only 5.4 BYN per month.
