Is it possible to break up the UK, what is the situation after the local elections in Germany? On the air of the program “Evening political channel” on “Radio-Minsk” said political scientist Andrei Lazutkin. Details - in the material of the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti".
A. Lazutkin commented on the meeting on housing at the Independence Palace:
- The president wants businesses to understand how many workers they need and what kind of house to build for it. Then we get fixed specialists. The introduction of additional square meters of housing does not mean that young professionals will use them. Conditionally, two new districts near Minsk are not the fact that they will help the labor market. We must strike a balance in terms of the earnings of our construction organizations and the availability of housing for people.
He touched upon the political scientist and international topics, in particular, he told what the signing of a memorandum on the right to leave the UK by the heads of parliaments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will lead to.
- Yes, they have certain powers, but referendums are not decided by them. Everywhere in these territories there is a representative from London who determines whether there will be a referendum on any issue and whether it has any force, Lazutkin said. Most of the time, it all comes down to the root. The Scots and Irish hate England and believe that their lands have been invaded and occupied. Countries with which Britain has bad relations support Irish separatism through intelligence agencies.
The guest also commented on the situation in Germany after the local elections, noting that the anti-rating of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is 80%.
- With such an anti-rating, there were no precedents for the government to last even a year. Today in Germany, a left-right coalition is in power: the SPD with the CDU/CSU. In essence, these are two warring blocs that are uniting against a stronger opponent in the face of Alternative for Germany, and until it gains more than 50% of the vote, the German chancellor will not go anywhere.
Lazutkin added that in Europe they know how to work with protest parties like the German Alternative for Germany.
- All parties are against the Alternative for Germany. In the country, half of Germans do not have any property, they live their whole lives in rental apartments, hence the electorate is extremely dependent on politicians. If a German has real estate, he can easily criticize the government, and if he lives off state support, he will be forced to vote for the ruling coalition. Germany has a large social package, so all migrants rush there not to work, but not to work.
The program "Evening Political Channel" is published in the evenings from Monday to Friday on Radio-Minsk. On the air, the most topical issues of domestic and international politics are discussed. Political scientists, deputies, public figures and famous personalities take part in the discussions.
