After the purchase of ten buses, Ulyanovsk plans to purchase eight more
In Ulyanovsk will continue the renewal of public transport

In Ulyanovsk will continue to update public transport. After the purchase of ten buses of a large class, the city authorities intend to buy eight more similar cars. On further plans to modernize the passenger fleet announced the head of the city Alexander Boldakin.
In 2026, the Municipal Enterprise PATP-1 received ten new large-capacity buses for the first time in a long time. The purchase was the next stage in the renewal of urban transport, the need for which was repeatedly noted by local residents.
Now the Ulyanovsk administration is considering the possibility of purchasing eight more buses of the same class. It is assumed that additional equipment will increase the capabilities of the municipal carrier and gradually improve the quality of passenger transportation.
At the same time, the specific terms of delivery of new machines, their cost and routes on which they will work, have not yet been named.
According to Alexander Boldakin, public transport remains one of the most problematic areas of the urban economy. Many difficulties have been formed over the years, so their solution requires consistent renewal of rolling stock and the development of municipal enterprises.
Work in this direction has been going on for several years. Earlier, 50 buses of medium capacity production of Simbirsk bus plant were purchased for Ulyanovsk. They were sent to the busiest routes of the Zavolzhsky and Zasviyazhsky districts.
At the same time, the city authorities continue to modernize electric transport. At the disposal of the MUP "Ulyanovskelectrotrans" received new trams "Lvionok". The administration intends to continue supporting the enterprise, since trams and trolleybuses remain an important part of the transport system of the regional center.
However, along with the updating of equipment, the problem of staff shortages remains. The municipal enterprise still requires drivers and technicians to repair rolling stock. The situation is complicated by the relatively low level of wages in the industry.
Alexander Boldakin spoke about plans for further purchase of buses on October 25, when he congratulated employees of road and city passenger transport on their professional holiday.
Thus, after the delivery of ten buses of a large class, the city expects to replenish the municipal fleet with another eight cars. At the same time, the timing of the new purchase remains open.
