Built by beavers dam provoked a flood in the Novosibirsk microdistrict Gateway

Trying to establish the cause of the flooding, the owners of the affected areas found a fresh dam of branches, mud and silt. One of the locals manually dismantled the barrier built by beavers. The water began to go away, and the level of flooding in the areas began to decrease.

However, according to local residents, this is only a temporary respite: beavers are able to quickly restore the dam. Public activist Pavel Konstantinov sent an official appeal to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources with a request to intervene in the situation. Residents of the Gateway hope that specialists of the department will find a way to relocate animals away from residential areas.

Earlier, "MK in Novosibirsk" reported that in a village near Novosibirsk noticed a walking bear.
