Legal education and volunteering: delegates of the CEC of Kyrgyzstan told about working with young people in Minsk

Representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan continue to study the Belarusian experience of informing youth in the electoral sphere on September 23, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.

A day earlier, the guests visited the capital’s secondary school No. 52 and the Academy of Management under the President of Belarus. There was a meeting with the Youth Council under the CEC of Belarus and the Vybor.BY club at the Center for Public Relations and Electoral Process of the Presidential Academy of Management. In addition, the republican educational projects were presented: “School of the Young Voter” and “2 × 2 / just about the difficult”.

On Wednesday, the guests visited the CEC of Belarus and the House of Youth. The visit to the latter began with an excursion, which was conducted by the First Secretary of the Minsk City Committee of the BRSM Alexey Pikus. Representatives of the CEC of Kyrgyzstan got acquainted with the activities of the organization and projects implemented by its participants.

In more detail, A. Picus discussed with the audience modern approaches in the implementation of state youth policy. It was about the participation of the Youth Union in the electoral campaign, as well as electoral volunteers, a unity marathon and even “My Voice First” T-shirts.

- As part of the implementation of the state youth policy, special attention is paid to the legal education of the younger generation. It is extremely important to develop legal awareness, respect for the law and understanding of legal norms from an early age. Conscious adherence to the laws by young people in everyday life is the key to a stable and prosperous future of the country, said the First Secretary of the Minsk City Committee of the BRSM.

Also, the Deputy Chairman of the Youth Council of the Minsk City Council of Deputies Stefania-Vitaly Vinnichek shared effective approaches to working with schoolchildren, students, volunteers and public activists.

- Young people clearly understand what elections are. Because even from the student bench they face them in one form or another, she shared.

The next representatives of the CEC of Kyrgyzstan will visit the Student Village.
