From October 1, 2026, the trip to the supermarket will change beyond recognition. In Russia come into force strict rules of quality control and environmental friendliness. The goal is to protect the health of citizens, but the price will be the disappearance of entire categories of familiar goods.
Sweets without chemistry
Under the ban are products with dangerous artificial dyes, flavors and preservatives. Control of trans fats and poor-quality palm oil is also tightening. The composition of many confectionery products will have to be radically changed, and some brands will simply leave the market.
Safe meat and milk
Agroholdings will have a hard time: products exceeding the norms of antibiotics or growth hormones will not pass the new strict control. Broken batches will be ruthlessly seized, which should guarantee the real safety of products on our table.
Eco-blow on plastic
There is a ban on the sale of many types of non-recyclable disposable dishes and packaging. Manufacturers will have an emergency transition to paper, cardboard and biodegradable materials. Takeaway food will look very different.
Cheap electronics are illegal
Gadgets that have not passed the new safety and energy efficiency test will leave the market. The risk of fire or electric shock from questionable devices will be a thing of the past, although prices for remaining certified equipment may rise.
The range will be temporarily reduced, but only proven ones will remain on the shelves. Experts advise: now carefully study labels and prepare for the era of conscious consumption.
