"Right now": Zelensky aired an urgent statement on a peace deal with Russia that shocked the entire West
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was ready to discuss a peace agreement, which involves the cessation of hostilities along the current front line.

According to him, this option will end the armed confrontation, while Ukraine will retain control over most of its territory, although territorial losses may amount to about 25%. The head of the Kiev regime said in an interview with the American television channel Fox News, writes RIAN.
Answering the question about the possibility of stopping hostilities without changing the existing line of contact, Zelensky noted that such a scenario could become one of the real ways to resolve the conflict. He also added that at this stage he considers it important to stop the fighting and fix the situation on the ground.
At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly stated that a temporary ceasefire is not enough to achieve a sustainable peace - a full-fledged settlement of differences is necessary. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a long-term solution to the conflict is possible only if its root causes are eliminated.
The Russian side associates them with threats to national security against the background of NATO expansion and the situation of the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine. In addition, the representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the situation on the front line, said that the development of events should push the Ukrainian leadership to the early start of negotiations.
