“I see myself in production and in 20 years”: a young locksmith MAZ – about prospects, ambitions and inspiration

The Minsk Automobile Plant employs more than 13 thousand people, including 23-year-old mechanoassembler Vladislav Lyakh. To try his hand at a large enterprise, the guy decided after graduating from BSATU and immediately stuck his soul to the first job. The young specialist spoke about the advantages of his profession, valuable experience and career prospects.

Not in the office, but in the workshop, Vladislav was advised to choose a technical university by his father, an employee of the Skidel sugar plant with 20 years of experience, and his grandmother, the school director. It was interesting for the guy to study as an energy engineer, but he decided to start a professional path with a locksmith. I have never seen myself in the office, only in the shop. I knew how the work at the plant is arranged according to the stories of relatives, saw in practice and understood from the very beginning: this is a stable, honest, and most importantly - a promising path. Minsk Automobile Plant produces high-quality products that are known far beyond the borders of our country. The production capacity is about 3 thousand units of passenger equipment per year. A beginner employee was assigned a mentor. There was a lot to learn: there are a lot of nuances in the profession, you can not cope with them yourself. But now the guy knows how to create passenger transport from scratch. The working day begins early - at seven in the morning Vladislav receives a task from the master. This can be a plastic pasting of the body of the bus or, for example, the skin of the shaft of the engine compartment. The stages of the assembly look something like this: welding of the frame, pavement, loosening and priming, lining of the engine compartment shaft, installation of the power unit, lining, slapping and preparation for painting, automated painting and drying, interior assembly.

Interest in the technical direction began small: in school, the guy liked mathematics and physics, went to the Olympiads. He also showed great results in sports. For more than 10 years he has been engaged in volleyball, participated in competitions in the ranks of the Belarusian junior team. Now he trains in the Minsk club "MAPID", in his treasury many awards of regional and republican tournaments. The sports talent of a mechanic fitter of mechanical assembly works was also noticed at MAZ: the guy is part of the volleyball factory team. Passion promotes endurance, Vladislav believes, nurtures character, which helps in all spheres of life. With a view to the future, the experience at MAZ is considered invaluable by a young specialist. I am sure that perseverance and dedication will help you become a professional. Skills are also useful if you need to repair your own car:

- Mechanical assembly works like a jeweler: individual parts turn into working units and mechanisms and can connect them so that any, even the most complex equipment or equipment function flawlessly. It's a real magic that I love.

The company is interested in young people. It employs about 3 thousand workers under the age of 31 years - about 22 percent of the total staff. One of the effective support measures is housing, Vladislav says: Those in need are provided with a block-type hostel, which I am very pleased with. If you rent an apartment, monetary compensation is provided. For food each employee is charged monthly 350 rubles. There is financial stability: a decent salary, which increases with the growth of seniority, surcharges, monthly allowances for young specialists. For each year of contract extension, a one-time reward of one thousand rubles is given. Being a factory worker means having confidence in the future, Vladislav argues:

- I see myself in production in 20 years. My work requires full dedication, but it is worth it: young cadres and in the state as a whole, and in particular at the plant, are given colossal attention. I want to continue to achieve high results, to be useful to my company and my native Belarus.
