The Petrodvortsov district court of St. Petersburg refused to arrest the general director of “Technologies of Taste” in the case of the injury of an employee who received 32% of a burn to the body. This is reported by the joint press service of the courts.
According to the investigation, the employee of the company responsible for technical security, showed criminal negligence. As a result, the employee received serious injuries: she overturned 40 liters of boiling water on herself, slipping on the wet floor, as a result of which she received 32% of body burns. She was then asked at work to tell her it had happened at home.
The CEO was detained on October 9 and charged because it happened in his production. The head of Technology Taste objected, believing that his arrest paralyzes the company.
The investigation insists that the head of the organization after the incident did not report the consequences and did not help the victim, and instead tried to hide the crime.
The court indicated that no charge had been brought against the director. He has a permanent residence in Russia and his identity has been established. Previously, the measure of restraint in this case was not applied, and he did not violate it. He did not hide from the investigation and has no criminal record.
The arguments of the investigation that he may abscond, continue criminal activities, put pressure on witnesses and the victim, destroy traces or otherwise interfere with the case are not objectively substantiated and are presumptive. On this basis, the Director General was not detained.
