The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region ordered the construction company to compensate the water utility 1.3 million rubles for damage to the water supply on Karl Faberge Square. Even considering the fact that the company itself eliminated the accident.

The court decision indicates that on June 9, 2023, during excavation work on the square of Karl Faberge, 8B, employees of the company "Spetsmontazhstroy" accidentally damaged the highway of cold water serviced by the State Unitary Enterprise "Vodokanal of St. Petersburg". Almost a month later, the construction company on its own restored the main water supply networks. But, as the court noted, this also confirms the guilt of the contractor in the accident and does not exempt him from compensation for the associated losses of the enterprise.

There were losses, namely increased costs, since Vodokanal had to emergency disconnect and turn on the networks. Also engage in pipeline washing, sampling and analysis of drinking water quality. The total amount of losses amounted to 1.3 million rubles, which is confirmed by the documents submitted to the case.

Thus, from the company “Spetsmontazhstroy” recovered 1.3 million rubles of damage and 65.2 thousand rubles of expenses for the payment of state duty.
