Parents will pay for the funeral of the son, who was killed in the scandalous maternity hospital
The parents of the baby, who died a few weeks after giving birth due to a mistake of doctors, managed to recover compensation from the administration of the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Medical Rehabilitation named after Spasokukotsky
As it became known “MK”, the other day will come into force the decision of the Koptevsky court, where Milena and Alexander – the parents of little Damir. In September 2018, they chose maternity hospital No. 27, which only opened after repairs and actively advertised its activities. Milena immediately warned doctors that she had a clinically narrow pelvis, so it would be wiser to have a cesarean section. However, doctors decided that the mother must give birth on her own. The birth was attended by obstetrician Susanna Panosyan. When it became clear that problems arose with the birth of the baby, the doctor called the head of the maternity hospital Marina Sarmosyan for consultation. However, the woman still did not have a cesarean section. As a result, during childbirth, the baby had acute oxygen starvation, then hypoxia of the brain began. In late October, Damir (his parents gave him a name) died.
A criminal case was opened against Susanna Panosyan and she was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison. The investigation revealed that the child of Alexander and Milena was not the only victim: three more children became disabled. The reason in all cases was similar: mothers did not have a caesarean section. A criminal case was opened against the head, it is still being investigated.
As part of the criminal case with Panosyan, 10 million rubles were recovered in favor of the parents. Now they were able to recover the cost of the funeral of the child. The father and mother of the SPC of medical rehabilitation (the successor of the maternity hospital) will pay 115740 rubles and 15 thousand rubles for the payment of lawyers.
