Rosseti Center and Volga region are testing a unique domestic device for measuring the resistance of grounding poles
Specialists of the branch "Rosseti Centre and Volga Region" - "Kirovenergo" began testing the device MISO-2, developed by Vyatka State University on the technical task of Kirov power engineers.

The device is designed to monitor the state of grounding devices of power lines support (LEP).
The device allows to measure the resistance parameters of the grounding devices of power lines with a voltage of 35-220 kV without disconnecting the lightning protection cable and lifting to the support. It is compact, has a small weight, gives the finished result without additional calculations and halves the measurement time.
The device is equipped with four flexible current sensors and is powered by batteries. Data transfer is carried out through a USB-connector, the measurement protocol is generated automatically and stored in the memory of the device.
The measurement error is not more than 2%, which distinguishes MISO-2 from foreign analogues.
The presentation of the device took place at the IX Russian conference on lightning protection in St. Petersburg Developers are preparing documents for certification of MISO-2 in Rosstandart of the Russian Federation.
MISO-2 is an example of how a task becomes the basis for creating a domestic technological solution. Power engineers of Kirovenergo formulated the requirements for the device, and specialists of Vyatka State University developed it taking into account real operating conditions. Such projects allow to simultaneously develop production competencies and strengthen the interaction of energy with Russian science and education, said Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
