A student who has issued a sick leave for pregnancy and childbirth is exempt from studying for this period: she is not obliged to attend classes, take tests and exams. If a session falls on this time, it is not required to undergo certification in the terms common to other students.

The duration of the hospital depends on the circumstances. In childbirth without complications, it is 140 days - 70 before and after, with complicated - 156 days (70 before and 86 after), and in multiple pregnancies it increases to 194 days: 84 days before childbirth and 110 after.

In addition to the sick leave, as noted in the material, the student can switch to an individual curriculum - in this case, the dates of certifications are transferred and free attendance of classes is agreed. Another option is academic leave, which averages 12 calendar months and can be longer than sick leave.

At the same time, the educational organization is not entitled to send a student to the academy because of pregnancy - this decision is made only by her. Therefore, pregnancy does not mean the mandatory interruption of training for a long time: you can limit yourself to a hospital or individual plan.
