According to the Ministry of Education of the region, the pilot launch of the program in six schools will take place on November 11, 2026. From January 2027, the course will be introduced in all educational institutions of the region.
Classes will be held weekly on Wednesdays. Since extracurricular activities are a mandatory part of the educational standard, all students must attend lessons. At the same time, each school has the right to establish a specific system for assessing knowledge independently.
The Ministry of Education of Russia explained that the program is designed to form a realistic idea of the work of neural networks and their application in science, medicine and industry in children. The lessons will focus on practical safe interaction with AI technologies, as well as the rules for combating Internet fraud and protection in the modern digital environment.
