Saranchans were told whether the torment could end in hell

The priests explained to the inhabitants of Saransk that there are no exact dates for stay in Paradise or Hell in Scripture. Some saints assumed that the torments of hell would not last indefinitely. But it is difficult for a person to imagine existence outside of time.

The Christian way is a sincere desire for God and a righteous life. Unity with God is perceived as eternal, and the question of the duration of hell’s suffering remains unanswered.

It is not only righteousness that is important to approach God, but also the inner desire to be with Him.
