Serpukhov hospital received new sterilizers
In the surgical hospital Protvino Serpukhov hospital received two new steam sterilizers of Russian production.
The equipment is designed to destroy microorganisms, including resistant bacteria spores, on medical instruments and materials that allow hot steam treatment - this is an important element of infection prevention in the provision of medical care.
The principle of operation of the devices is based on the effect of saturated water vapor under pressure: in a closed chamber, the high temperature necessary for sterilization is created. Processing is carried out in a strictly established mode - for a guaranteed result, both the temperature parameter and the exposure time are critically important. At the same time, preliminary cleaning of tools remains a mandatory stage: steam sterilization does not replace careful preparation of products.
As the head of the hospital Tatyana Karchevskaya emphasized, the preparation of tools is a daily time-consuming process that directly affects the safety of patients. New sterilizers will ensure stable provision of sterile tools and materials. At the same time, employees play a key role: they are responsible for the correct preparation of products, loading of equipment and quality control of processing.
The purchase of sterilizers was carried out within the framework of the national project “Long and active life” on behalf of the Governor of the Moscow region.
