Schoolchildren from Romanovka decorated their yard with colored bird feeders

The birds were taken care of by students of the Logos Orthodox school in the village of Romanovka, Vsevolozhsky district. During the action “We are responsible for those who were tamed” they made bright colored feeders, said the press service of the administration of the Leningrad region.

Together with the staff of the Vsevolozhsk veterinary station, the children hung feeders in the schoolyard. And, following the recommendations of experts, filled them with food for birds.

The recommendations are as follows. In the feeders you can put seeds, nuts without salt, cereals, berries of ash or potions, pieces of apples, lard without spices and dry bread crumbs. And in no case should you leave bread, salty, sweet or fried foods, smoked meats and exotic fruits.

It is important that the feeders hang next to bushes or trees, so that in case of any predator, the birds can quickly hide.
