Schoolchildren and students of the Smolensk region are invited to the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN

Within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children”, the Autumn Cup of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN started. In 2026, the competitions are dedicated to the theme “Technologies of the Future”, which opens up unique opportunities for professional growth for young people in the Smolensk region.

High school students are invited to assemble teams of 3-4 people to participate in the School League. At the correspondence stage, teams will have to solve one of the real cases from partners in one of three areas:

Industry-wide: task from SIBUR (with the support of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation); Biotechnology: case from SEZ Alabuga; Energy class: task of the Russian Energy Agency.

Winners will receive additional points to the exam when entering the bachelor’s degree of one of 108 partner universities, as well as trips to all-Russian children’s centers.

Students can join the Student League by gathering cross-functional teams. Four directions are available, including Oil and Gas business, Mining Machines and industry-wide (Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation). The champions will receive the priority right to enter the magistracy or postgraduate studies of 36 partner universities, invitations to internships and entry into the CASE-IN Winners Club.

Governor Vasily Anokhin stressed that the support of talented youth is a priority of the region, and expressed confidence that Smolensk residents will offer effective solutions for the domestic industry.
