School museums of Kalmykia joined the All-Russian action “Day at the School Museum: Museum Vacation”

During the autumn holidays, a three-day cycle of events was held for schoolchildren aimed at familiarizing themselves with history, preserving cultural heritage and developing interest in museum activities.

On the first day, young guides presented interesting exhibits from the funds of school museums, independently prepared excursions and thematic events. So, in Vorobyovskaya secondary school named after N.T. Vorobyov, an event “What does an old chest tell us?” was held, and in the Iki-Burulsk school named after A. Pyurbeyev, an excursion “From ancient traditions to the modern history of our small homeland” was held.

The second day was dedicated to "Museum Teleconferences" - virtual meetings between school museums. Activists of Elistinsk school No. 10 named after V.A. Bembetov organized a teleconference with the Chonoskaev Orgakin school, during which the participants got acquainted with museums and exchanged information about their schools.

The third day included educational activities based on the materials of the Russian Society “Knowledge”. In the Trinity school named after G.K. Zhukov, an informative quiz was held, and in the Kanukovskaya school named after S.B. Kozaev - an event dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
