The meeting of the participants of the Plenum of the Economic Court of the Commonwealth of Independent States is evidence of strong partnership ties that unite the CIS countries within a common economic and legal framework. Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus Andrei Shved said this in his address to the participants of the meeting of the Plenum of the Economic Court of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which takes place on October 9 in Minsk, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

Speaking about integration processes in the CIS space, Andrei Shved noted that it is impossible to overestimate the importance of the legal foundation that ensures the predictability of trade and economic relations between the CIS member states:
- Economic stability and trust between our countries directly depend on the transparency and fairness of legal mechanisms, in which the CIS Economic Court plays an important role. Its decisions contribute to the formation of unified approaches to the application of regulations, agreements, other acts of cooperation and its institutions and, as a result, the resolution of disputes and the protection of the rights of business entities. The well-coordinated work of the judges of the Economic Court of the CIS, deep analytics, fair decisions depend on trust in the institutions of the Commonwealth and the protection of the interests of citizens and business entities of its member states.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus separately noted the undeniable importance and relevance of the interpretive function of the CIS Economic Court. He added that his decisions on interpretation are directly reflected in law enforcement practice.
The Plenum of the Economic Court of the CIS, being the highest legislative body of the judicial system of the Commonwealth, unites judges of the participating states and emphasizes the interstate nature of cooperation, the joint desire to strengthen the rule of law. Each of us in this room has made an invaluable practical contribution to our common development. In a rapidly changing world economy, the value of our work only increases. Coordinated actions, accuracy of legal assessments and loyalty to the spirit of international law directly affect economic security, investor confidence and well-being of our citizens. I am confident that today’s meeting will be held in a constructive atmosphere of deep mutual respect, open dialogue and high professionalism, Andrei Shved said.
