Died music critic Sergey Neighbors: what is known about the tragedy

On September 23, the famous Russian journalist and music critic Sergei Sosedov died. He was 58 years old. According to the publication “Moskovsky Komsomolets”, the tragedy occurred during a tour in the city of Neryungri.

According to preliminary information, the cause of death was an accident: the journalist fell down the stairs. The cause of the fall was a broken clot. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash with reference to the journalist’s relatives.

According to relatives, a week before the tragedy, the critic complained of poor health. Relatives said that Sergei always had heart problems, but he led a healthy lifestyle: he did not abuse alcohol and did not drink for a long time. Doctors believe that the thrombosis provoked a long flight to Yakutia on tour.

The journalist had many professional plans. Just the other day, a new season of the popular music show Superstar on NTV was to be released, where Neighbors were part of the jury.

The news of the death of Sergei Sosedov came as a shock to the representatives of show business and his many fans. Presenter Vadim Takmenev, who worked with the critic in the jury of the Superstar project, expressed his common grief.

Colleagues noted that this was the last filming of the critic, and the entire upcoming season of the program will be released in memory of him.

Sergey Neighbours became widely known in the late 1990s thanks to his participation in the television program “Sharks of the Pen” on TV-6 channel. His sharp, uncompromising statements and deep expertise have made him one of the most prominent figures in Russian music journalism. In addition to working on television, he was actively engaged in criticism and journalism, remaining a bright media person until the last days.
