The first Union meeting of citizens of the older generation “We are for active longevity” will be held in Vitebsk on September 23-25. What is the planned program and what will be presented by Minsk residents of silver age, read the material of the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency.

What's in the program

- The meeting is an event of the Union State. It will bring together about 1,000 participants and guests – representatives of the older generation, volunteers of silver age, experts in the field of social protection, health, sports, culture, heads of relevant departments, the Parliamentary Assembly of Belarus and Russia, the Standing Committee of the Union State, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus said. The Russian delegation will present nine regions of the country – Lipetsk, Ryazan, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Tula regions, Perm Territory, Tatarstan, Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The participants of the meeting will discuss the creation of conditions for a full and rich life of older people, exchange practices in the field of social services, rehabilitation, prevention of age-related changes, demonstrate original products at the exhibition-fair, hold master classes.

The Union meeting will open with a festive procession. Participants will pass from the tourist and hotel complex "Vitebsk Hotel" to the concert hall "Vitebsk". A grand opening will be held at the famous stage with the participation of the Ministers of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus and Russia. The city-masters will work, master classes will be organized.

Speaking and showing Minsk

- The delegation of the capital will include representatives of the territorial centers of social services of the population of the Partizan, Soviet, Frunze districts, as well as social boarding houses Rodnik, Malinovka, Vyache, the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Minsk City Executive Committee reported. In particular, the participants of the 50+ age modeling studio, led by businesswoman and model Larisa Zaverach, will demonstrate collections of national costumes and gold embroidery. Volunteers of silver age of territorial centers and boarding houses will hold a master class on making paintings from ribbons, will teach you how to make stylish jewelry, will be fond of creating paintings from wool, will tell you how to hide small imperfections in the image with the help of makeup. In addition, the participants of the Moscow delegation will present souvenir products at the exhibition-fair.

What will surprise the regions

As told in the Ministry of Labor, representatives of the Vitebsk region will share the intricacies of the practice of Chinese lymphatic drainage gymnastics tabata, talk about the health gymnastics of qigong. Gomel residents will present the “Pharmacy Garden”, and Grodno residents will reveal the secrets of making stylish jewelry.

- Guests from the Kaliningrad region will talk about amber - the stone of longevity. Residents of Tula will hold a master class on painting city toys. Representatives of the Perm Territory will learn to weave birch bark products, the department said. The original exposition was prepared by Muscovites. They will present the exhibition of the club “Made in Moscow Longevity”. Volunteers from Tatarstan will bring embroidery, hold a master class on tailoring skullcaps and national jewelry. Representatives of the Lipetsk region will introduce the famous Elets lace and Romanov toy made of clay.

Briefly about the main thing

On the opening day, experts in the field of active longevity are also scheduled to speak. Interactive sites can be visited on September 24. Sections will be devoted to the work of social institutions, the factors of strengthening and preserving the health of the elderly, the features of medical rehabilitation.

On the final day of the Union meeting, the results of the forum will be summed up, a resolution will be signed between the ministries of labor and social protection of Belarus and Russia.
