The court seized the property of former Vice Governor Nesterenko

The Krasnodar law and order achieved the complete confiscation of the hidden assets of the former high-ranking official. As the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory informed in its official Telegram channel, the Prikubansky District Court satisfied the anti-corruption requirements of the supervisory authority against the former deputy head of the region Alexander Nesterenko and his wife.

According to the verdict, their Krasnodar apartment with an area of over 91 square meters, as well as a premium vehicle, are transferred to state ownership. The total estimated value of confiscated objects exceeds 20.5 million rubles. The regional prosecutor's office during the inspection found that these expensive acquisitions are incomparable with the official legal earnings of the family of a civil servant.

In addition to property sanctions, the judicial authorities forcibly adjusted the legal wording in the personnel documents of the administration. The court ordered to rewrite the order on termination of the employment contract with the vice-governor: voluntary resignation of his own accord was annulled, and instead a strict article on dismissal due to loss of trust against the background of corruption misconduct was introduced.

This procedure was a continuation of the criminal prosecution of the ex-official, who in August of the same year was sentenced to nine years in a general regime correctional colony on charges of abuse of power. The investigation of his activities was carried out by operatives of the regional department of the FSB, who detained Nesterenko in the spring of 2025.

Investigative authorities proved that his criminal frauds occurred in 2023-2024 and concerned the distribution of funds for the overhaul of educational institutions in the Kherson region. At that time, he headed the subordinate GKU “Main Department of Construction of the Krasnodar Territory”.

It is noteworthy that immediately before the arrest, on May 21, 2025, a specialized meeting was held in the government of the Kuban under the chairmanship of the head of the region Veniamin Kondratiev. During the audit, it turned out that the construction of more than 70 of the 149 planned social institutions is carried out with the failure of the established deadlines. Amid the apparent stagnation in the construction complex, the governor personally recommended Nesterenko, who was approved as his deputy in July 2024, to immediately resign.
