Spouses from Germany came to Novosibirsk for the status of immigrants
A married couple from Germany came to Novosibirsk to apply for participation in the state program of resettlement of compatriots
According to the applicants, it is difficult to get to the German consulate because of the high workload. Waiting for a free entry can take several months, so the couple decided to issue documents in Russia.
This option is provided for participants in the direction of “repatriation”. Unlike the standard terms of the program, they do not necessarily need to find employment in the region chosen for relocation.
The couple expressed their desire to return to their historical homeland, to acquaint their children with Russian culture and to give them the opportunity to receive education in Russian.
Employees of the Migration Department of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs accepted the documents and explained to the family what stages to go through next. As explained in the Ministry, applications of program participants in the direction of “repatriation” are considered as a priority.
The repatriation program applies to former citizens of the USSR, Russian citizens who permanently resided abroad as of February 24, 2022, as well as their direct descendants and relatives who want to move to Russia.
Earlier, MK in Novosibirsk reported that more than 7,000 migrants entered the Novosibirsk region in a week.
