Over the past week in the Sverdlovsk region registered 33 200 cases of SARS

Over the past week, 33,200 cases of SARS were registered in the Sverdlovsk region. The indicator was above the level of the previous week by 16.4%, but remains below the long-term average by 23.4%. This is reported by the press service of the regional management of Rospotrebnadzor.
Of particular concern is the age structure of the incidence: 65.6% of the total number of cases are children.
According to laboratory studies, seasonal rhinovirus now dominates among the pathogens of SARS.
In connection with the increase in the incidence of epidemiologists strengthen preventive work. Residents of the region are urged to be vaccinated against influenza in the near future.
In addition, experts recommend observing nonspecific prevention measures: regularly and thoroughly wash your hands with soap or treat them with an alcohol-containing agent; avoid touching the face; observe distance in crowded places; take precautions when caring for a sick family member; lead a healthy lifestyle.
If there are any signs of the disease, doctors advise to stay at home and seek medical help in a timely manner.

The figure was 64% higher than a week earlier, but 20% below the multi-year average. This is reported by the press service of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the region.
