Over the past week, video cameras in the Tomsk region recorded 14,239 traffic violations. More than half of them - 9,236 - were speeding.
Video cameras on the roads of the Tomsk region work daily: the violation gets into the lens, the information goes to the traffic police, processed - and the owner of the car receives a receipt for payment of the fine by mail.
Video recording devices are primarily used for road safety and reducing injuries in road accidents.
