Alexander Ushachev noted that with the onset of autumn, many people want to start helping birds and hang feeders outside the windows.

- But I wouldn't be in a hurry to do that. In autumn, the birds can still feed themselves. There are insects, berries, plant seeds. When do you need to hang the feeders? First of all, when the persistent cold comes, snow will lie and birds will be extremely uncomfortable to get food, the expert said.

Speaking about what to put in the trough, he recommended:

- Best suited unfried and unsalted sunflower seeds. It can also be any other grain. The most important thing is not to use salty, fried or expired foods for feeding. The birds should be fed on a regular basis. Don't forget to clean the feeders regularly. Remember that we should not replace nature with birds. We need to help them cope in a tough time.
