In Tula, the concept of a board game was developed, which will allow you to get acquainted with the history of the city and outstanding residents of the Tula province. The winner of the regional hackathon “Open Tula: a game journey” was a team of employees of the Tula library system “Konem Walk”. In the future, the authors will finalize the project and prepare it for release, the press service of the regional government told MK in Tula.

The presentation of the developments took place on November 6. The hackathon was organized by the Tourism Development Agency of the Tula region, the Higher Technical School and the creative industrial cluster “Octava”. The event was timed to the anniversary dates of the city and the region.

The competition was attended by 16 teams, bringing together about 100 people. Students of Tula educational institutions, students of the School of Creative Industries, employees of archives and libraries presented their ideas.

Participants offered a variety of game scenarios. Among them are the economic strategy of the artisan artels of the XIX century, the historical battles of the defense of Tula in 1941, a detective with the abduction of a secret drawing of an arms factory and a trip along the trade routes of the XVI century. There were also ideas of the gingerbread labyrinth, games about Tula masters, merchant rivalries and sights of the districts of the region.

The winning team “The Knight’s Walk” presented the project of the Tula puzzle map of the end of the XIX century. During the game, participants will be able to study the biographies of famous figures of the Tula province.

The Minister of Tourism of the Tula region Elena Martynova noted that such developments help to acquaint residents and guests of the region with its history in a new way. According to her, board games can become an independent tourist product and a souvenir that will remind you of a trip to Tula.

Speaking of attracting tourists... Earlier, MK in Tula told about the visit to the region of Chinese bloggers Fan Fei and Valeria Ryazantseva.

Together with his son, they visited the Tula Kremlin, Yasnaya Polyana, the Museum of Weapons and the gingerbread factory, got acquainted with local crafts and cuisine.

The guests decided to prepare a series of videos for the Chinese audience.
