12 thousand Murmansk women after the examination found diseases of the reproductive system

In the Murmansk region, 12 thousand women were diagnosed with diseases of the reproductive system after medical examination. Such data for the nine months of the year was given by the regional Ministry of Health.

More than 32 thousand women and about 23 thousand men aged 18 to 49 years were examined. About 3 thousand women and more than 700 men were sent to the additional stage of diagnosis.

Most often, women detected uterine fibroids, endometriosis, inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs and menstrual disorders. In men, more than 500 cases of diseases of the reproductive system were found, including infertility and varicocele.

The regional Ministry of Health reminds that some diseases in the early stages proceed without noticeable symptoms. Clinical examination helps to identify them on time and, if necessary, begin treatment.
