Exercises in Gomel region showed an increase in the level of training of territorial defense forces — Muraveyko

In the Gomel region continues command-staff exercises with the management bodies of territorial defense of the region, in which today, on September 22, was practiced practical actions to repel the attack of a conditional enemy, the correspondent of sb.by.

The first units of territorial defense entered the battle with them, with the support of internal troops.

On the terrain controlled by the forces of the platoon stronghold, dynamic events unfolded with the imitation of fire contact and explosions, the use of armored vehicles, UAVs, evacuation of the wounded. The personnel worked out actions on defense, tactical withdrawal to more favorable positions and counterattacks. The final result is the defeat of the enemy and the restoration of defense on the front edge.

- Today we worked out the issues inherent in modern warfare and taking into account the experience of a special military operation in Ukraine. These are the actions of attack aircraft, the active use of FPV-drones to destroy armored objects and shelters, conducting reconnaissance and search using motorcycles, ATVs, as well as other means that are used in the national economy and can be used for the defense of the state. The task of such events is to increase the level of training, to train officers and staffs to lead units, and to teach personnel to act within the framework of modern methods and methods of warfare.

He also noted the special importance of holding exercises in the Gomel region, which, given its proximity to Ukraine, has become a frontline region:

- Just a few years ago, such exercises were already held in the Gomel region. Today we see that the morale and attitude has become even stronger, and the level of training is growing. I would like to note that the territorial units and territorial troops have been actively working on these techniques, and the skills have been restored quite quickly.
