About why the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko conducts sudden checks of combat readiness of the Armed Forces, on the air of the program “PRO ARMY” on “SBTV” said the Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on human rights, national relations and the media, doctor of military sciences, Professor Nikolai Buzin.

Nikolai Buzin noted that maintaining high combat readiness is a trend that is particularly clearly seen in the activities of the President over the past decades, because “powder should always remain dry.”.

- Everyone must solve the tasks assigned to him in accordance with the Military Doctrine of the Republic of Belarus. If we use all the existing potential, we will be able, first of all, to reduce defense costs through an integrated approach, optimization of communication, control and weapons systems, he explained. We are creating the system and the environment that allows us to fully use all the capabilities of our state, including the military-industrial complex, the management system and the infrastructure created on our territory. Let's say the use of a civilian control system with its integration into the military. This without additional money and means allows to ensure the functioning of the system on a national scale. In other words, the military machine came in, plugged in anywhere and started to work, transmitting information to everyone. This is a management system that we could not even dream of 15-20 years ago.

Thinking about logistics, the expert drew attention to Ukraine, where the entire supply system of troops is largely tied to civilian facilities.

- We look at this experience and understand that it is inexpedient to create a military support system in parallel, since there is a state logistics system. Our country is confidently looking to the future. Our army is small, but we have internal troops, the Interior Ministry, the border service, and the territorial defense system. We often forget this aspect. What is territorial defense? This is an opportunity for every citizen to ensure the security of his country, his home, his family. We also included this element in the overall defense system of the state.
