More than 2 million square meters of housing were commissioned in Belarus in January-August

In Belarus in January-August 2026 put into operation 2 045.4 thousand square meters. m of housing, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

According to Belstat, more than half of the total input are individual residential buildings. Their total area was 1,178.2 thousand square meters (57.6%).

For citizens registered in need of better housing conditions, 608.7 thousand square meters were built, which was 29.8% of the total. Another 274.9 thousand square meters (13.4%) were built for citizens engaged in housing construction with state support.

On the commissioning of housing among the regions, the Minsk region is the leader - 632.4 thousand square meters. m, of which 85.5 thousand - with state support. In the Brest region, 330.6 thousand square meters were introduced, including 81.9 thousand with state support; in Mogilev - 267.1 thousand (11.3 thousand), in Gomel - 230.6 thousand (20.2 thousand), in Grodno - 217 thousand (38.7 thousand), in Vitebsk - 193.4 thousand (12.9 thousand).

In Minsk, 174.3 thousand square meters were introduced, of which 24.3 thousand with state support.
