In Karelia check boatmasters: the results of the raid on Lake Ladoga

Representatives of the republican Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on the results of the next patrol of the water area of Lake Ladoga. During the raid, experts monitored the safety of five boats, recording two administrative violations.

In addition to inspections, the staff of the department communicated with boat owners, their passengers and citizens resting near the reservoir. People were reminded how important it is to observe safety in the autumn period, and also explained the nuances of registering small vessels.

The Emergencies Ministry emphasizes that the operation of transport is strictly prohibited if there are technical problems or there are no necessary number of rescue kits on board. Thus, for neglecting life jackets on registered boats, violators face financial punishment under Article 11.10 of the Administrative Code.

In addition, experts strongly advise to refrain from traveling on water after dark, in bad weather, as well as being in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
