In the Kherson region overhaul of eight schools will be completed by the end of 2026

In the Kherson region, the overhaul of eight general educational institutions continues. According to the contracts concluded, all work at the facilities must be completed by December 25, 2026.

According to the Minister of Education and Science of the region Alexey Grigoriev, it was not possible to complete the repairs by the beginning of the new academic year. According to him, the timing of the work was affected by a difficult operational situation. At the same time, contractors try to complete the repair before the date set by the contracts.

Separately, the Minister commented on the spread of information about the possible closure of schools and kindergartens in the Kherson region. Alexey Grigoriev said that no educational institutions in the region were closed or reorganized.

According to the head of the department, an assessment of the possibility of combining or joining individual educational organizations was conducted earlier. However, no decisions were taken to close schools or kindergartens as a result of this work.

Thus, the overhaul of eight schools continues, and the completion of work under contracts is scheduled for December 2026.
