In the Kherson region following the results of September 18, voter turnout in the elections to the State Duma reached 58.31%. This was reported by the chairman of the Electoral Commission of the region Marina Zakharova in a comment to the publication “Tavria”.

The head of the Oblast Election Commission said that this indicator was formed by an accrual result - it included both the votes of residents who made a choice on the first day of the main vote, and the results of the earlier early stage.

Marina Zakharova stressed that the start of voting took place without violations and in the normal mode. The election commission expects to maintain high activity of residents of the region in the second and subsequent days of the polling stations.
