In Komi will review the standards of garbage removal for residents

In the Republic of Komi, new rules for calculating standards for the accumulation of solid municipal waste are being prepared. A special commission has already surveyed more than 150 container sites in cities and regions of the region. This was reported in the Ministry of tariff regulation of the Republic.
The changes are related to federal law and will take effect from July 1, 2027. The number of categories of objects for which standards are calculated will increase from 24 to 46. In addition, it will be possible to take into account waste not only in cubic meters, but also in kilograms.
The regional ministry proposes to calculate the amount of garbage for the population based on the number of residents, not the area of housing. This approach is considered more understandable and fair for citizens.
Preparations for the transition to the new system are conducted from 2024. The conducted research allowed the republic to save more than 20 million rubles of budget funds. The final parameters of the new standards have not yet been approved.
