In Crimea, there are restrictions on electricity due to lack of incoming power

In the Republic of Crimea, due to the insufficient amount of power coming through the main networks, it is not possible to apply the regular electricity supply scheme of the peninsula. This was reported in the press service of Krymenergo.

Restrictions apply throughout the peninsula. This is a necessary measure: it is needed to remove overload from the power grid and prevent an accident in the power system.

It is now impossible to ensure compliance with shutdown schedules and evenly distribute the available capacity. Power lines and network equipment are shut down promptly, depending on the situation in specific energy districts.

Electricity is supplied on the basis of network capabilities. Reserve supply schemes are used, primarily for socially significant facilities.

On October 24, 2026, an accident occurred on the main power grids outside the republic. Krymenergo specialists carried out emergency recovery work, and social facilities were switched to backup power sources.
