In EMERCOM Buryatia told about the main causes of fires in the heating season

In Buryatia, since the beginning of October, fire departments have gone to more than 60 fires. As a result of the fires, two people died, four more were injured. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic reminded of safety rules in the heating season.

According to the agency, most often fires occur due to careless handling of fire - this cause accounts for 52% of cases. Another 18% of fires are associated with violation of the rules of operation of furnaces, and 11% with short circuit.

The MOE recommends not to leave a burning stove unattended and not to melt it before going to bed. Firewood, furniture and clothing should be kept away from stoves and heaters. It is also important not to overload the sockets with several powerful electrical appliances.

Before leaving the house, you need to make sure that the stove is extinguished and the electrical appliances are turned off. Compliance with these rules will help reduce the risk of fire and protect homes and loved ones.
