In the Minsk City Executive Committee told how to solve the problem of flooding in the capital

In Minsk summed up the work to solve the problem of flooding this year. This was reported in the Minsk City Executive Committee, writes sb.by.

At a meeting in the Minsk City Executive Committee, the head of the Department of Urban Economy and Energy Alexander Rakovshchik said that 26 places of permanent flooding were identified, including Nemiga, Vaneev Square, Surganov Street, Kalinovsky and others. This year, the project documentation was developed and the necessary work was carried out on all these points.

Prevention played an important role: in the spring and summer periods, road services in all areas of the city kept storm sewer cleaning under constant control. An integrated approach – from repairs to regular maintenance of networks – has borne fruit.

At the moment, there are two places where work continues: the construction of rain collectors near Pinskaya-Kalvariyskaya streets and Miroshnichenko-MKAD streets. According to Sergey Panev, Director of Gordorstroy State Enterprise, the construction of these facilities will be fully completed by the end of the year. In addition, work has already been completed on the construction of a collector near the village of Yarkovo.

The city does not stop there: a work plan for 2027-2030 has been formed. Places for major repairs have been identified. The list of rain sewerage networks to be reconstructed includes about 40 facilities in 9 districts of the capital, including collectors built more than 70 years ago. Work will include the reconstruction of outdoor networks, increasing their capacity, as well as replacing outdated brick wells.
