The defendant worked in a shopping center on the street. Uborjevic as a cart collector. Once in one of them, he found a portfolio forgotten by the buyer, which contained documents, bank and discount cards, 1 900 BYN, 3 516 dollars and 300 Russian rubles. Instead of passing the find to the market administration or police officers, the attacker hid the wallet in a storage room. After finishing his shift, he took him home.
The man transferred part of the money to a friend for safekeeping, and left the rest to himself. Soon police officers came to his home. Minchanin did not deny that he took someone else's wallet. A criminal case has been opened against him.
He did not admit guilt in the court hearing - he insisted that he allegedly had no intent to steal property.
- The accused is not officially employed anywhere, previously had problems with the law, said Anna Mitskevich, senior assistant prosecutor of the Zavodsky district. The court found him guilty of secret theft of property (theft), committed on a large scale, and on the basis of Part 3 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code imposed a punishment of three years of restriction of freedom without sending him to an open-type correctional institution with a fine of 50 basic values (2,250 BYN). In addition, the accused must undergo compulsory treatment for chronic alcoholism.
