In Mogilev held a mass bike ride in honor of the Day of national unity

Today, on September 19, a traditional city bike ride dedicated to the Day of National Unity is held in Mogilev. The event was a bright end of the summer cycling season and brought together representatives of different professions and ages.

According to BelTA, Sergey Chertkov, Chairman of the Mogilev City Executive Committee, took part in the race and noted that the action has become a good urban tradition and symbolizes the cohesion of society.

- It has become a good Mohilev tradition to open the cycling season and finish. We had a big public holiday, and today it is especially clear that we are actually united. One people, the mood is good. We will be happy to ride along the beautiful streets of our city and recharge with the positive, said Sergey Chertkov.

Among the participants is the team of the city polyclinic No. 2. Midwife of the institution Victoria Yakushka came to the event together with colleagues and seven-year-old daughter Eugene. For the family, this is the second experience of participating in mass races.

You can’t call us cyclists, this is our second time. But the child wants to participate, because we often go on bike rides. We like this mover, said Victoria Yakushka.

According to her, the female staff of the clinic is very friendly. Despite the lack of special training, the participants plan to overcome the entire distance and later get to the Bulba Fest festival.

The driver of the trolleybus park Valentin Petrashenko also supported the initiative, and for him bicycle is not only a hobby, but also the main way of getting around.

A trolleybus is a job, and in my free time I love a bicycle. By the way, I always ride a bicycle to work. This is not the first time I have been involved in the opening and closing of the cycling season. I usually come with children and the entire trolleybus park. I am in favor of more such events. And my colleagues are also for it, he said.
